Lieutenant Colonel David Solar recently retired from the United States Army Reserve following a distinguished career spanning 28 years with service on active duty and the Florida Army National Guard. He served in numerous leadership and staff assignments and is a graduate of Airborne School, Armor Officer Basic Course, Ranger School, Air Defense Artillery Officer Advance Course, and Command and General Staff College.

Upon graduation from the Command and General Staff College in 1993, David received the General John J. Pershing Award as the distinguished honor graduate from the Army National Guard. In 1998, David was certified by the Command and General Staff as an Army "5K" instructor and he became a Staff Group Leader teaching in the Combined Arms Service Staff School. As a Staff Group Leader for eight years, David taught numerous courses to Army Captains and Majors to enhance their leadership and problem solving skills.

David now provides training and consulting in developing leadership skills and data driven decision-making. During the past three years he provided leadership and decision-making presentations at national and regional conferences through the United States. David graduated from Stetson University in 1977 with a Bachelors of Business Administration degree in Accounting. He recently received his Master of Educational Leadership degree from Stetson.
