February 24, 2009: Dr. Coggins will speak at Holocaust Documentation and Education center during Christopher Columbus Student Awareness Day.
June 2, 2009: there will be the Unveiling of the completion of the African and African American history Curriculum by the St Lucie county School District. .This curriculum which will be web based is the first of its kind that will allow the teachers to access the entire curriculum in a paperless manner into their classrooms. The PCC COGGINS & ASSOCIATES,LLC started this venture in May 2008 and completed the work in February 2009. This work enabled the school district to be added to the list of “Exemplary Districts’ that completed and fully implemented the African and African American history curriculum. On June 2, Dr Coggins will be representing the firm at this special unveiling ceremony.
June 25, 2009: Dr. Coggins was a keynote speaker at the 13th Anniversary of the Fort Mose Historical Society and the 269th Anniversary of the Battle of Mose. Read the Speech here. | [March 14, 2008] - Dr Coggins presented the following Keynotes at plenary sessions at the Annual Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association (FADAA) in Tampa, Florida. The two topics were "Strengthening Treatment Access and Recovery for Culturally Diverse and Ethnic Populations" and the second Keynote address was entitled "Multicultural Awareness: New medical Information Useful in Understanding and Treating Substance Abuse Clients". The audience included State offices of Children and Youth, State Alcohol and Drug Abuse Services, Florida Alcohol and Drug Abuse Association and representatives of Substance Abuse Treatment Agencies and fields. |

NorthStar High School, a charter school in Orlando, approached Dr. Coggins for
assistance in developing a reading program that would help the failing
school, to avoid being closed by DOE. Dr. Coggins has tentatively set
consultation meeting dates with the institution's administrators. As per
Dr. Coggins, American Publishing Company may get involved in
furnishing resource materials for support and possibly utilize the school to
pilot their reading program. |

Under the leadership of Dr. Patrick Coggins, the Multicultural Education Institute and P. C. Coggins & Associates announces the following workshops which are intended to provide innovative strategies for closing the achieving gap through the use of Cultural Competence Practices. The facilitators will include Dr. Patrick Coggins and Associates.
The following dates and workshops will be held from 8:00 am – 5:00 pm each day. See registration forms.
- April 27, 2007 – Using Cultural Competence to close the Achievement Gap. A one day intensive study of validated strategies that will positively change your school and enhance your student’s learning.
- September 21, 2007 – Using your FCAT Test Data to close the Achievement Gap for all students. Administrators’ grade level coordinators will greatly benefit from using this model.
- October 26, 2007 – Valuing Cultural Diversity in the Workplace. A dynamic and practical model that provides administrators and employees with a model for integrating Cultural Competence in the workplace. A positive checklist of techniques will work in your workplace.
- November 9, 2007 – Using Cultural Competence to close the Achievement Gap. One day intensive study of validated strategies that will positively change your school and enhance student’s learning.
- December 7, 2007 – Using Cultural Competence in Mental Health, Health Care and Human Services Settings. A new approach to client assessment will be introduced to participants
